Pageant Mum

Bolton's Pageant Mum are a UK post-hardcore / new grunge band writing heavy, emotionally direct songs driven by angular guitars and confrontational vocals. Their music sits with tension and discomfort, drawing on personal experience and unfiltered emotion rather than polish or spectacle. Known for intense, cathartic live sets, the band translate the emotional weight of their recordings into performances that feel immediate and volatile.

Often compared to Fugazi, Paramore and The Bronx, Pageant Mum channel the same urgency, honesty and intensity both on record and on stage. The band have been building momentum through appearances at Kendal Calling, The Great Escape and Rock N Roll Circus, alongside touring with Pet Needs and Washington DC hardcore pioneers Scream. Their latest EP 'Finis Amoris Est'was featured on Bandcamp New & Notable alongside the likes of Converge, Angel Du$t & Worm.
