BOI TOI

UK POST-HARDCORE. CHAOTIC. LIVE-FIRST.

Five people taking a group photo using a fisheye lens, with some waving and smiling, against a tiled wall background.

BOI TOI (all caps.) are a post-hardcore quintet from the North of England, emerging from the ragged edges of the UK DIY scene. Blending abrasive noise, sardonic storytelling, and absurdist humour, they’ve built a reputation for music that is as chaotic as it is deliberate.

Live, they are less a band and more a situation. Their shows are loud, volatile, and deeply participatory, pulling crowds into the chaos rather than performing at them. It’s sweaty, confrontational, often ridiculous, and impossible to ignore, with tension constantly flipping between aggression, humour, and release.

Musically, they sit somewhere between The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Armed, and UK noise rock, with a distinctly Northern perspective running through everything. Their sound shifts fast, veering between heavy, confrontational punk and off-kilter, unpredictable textures.

With That’s Boss (out 10 July 2026 via Red Tape Music), BOI TOI tighten their songwriting without losing the volatility that defines them.

“BOI TOI doesn’t just play a set; they curate an "antic-filled" experience” - The Forge FTV (Live session, The Loom, Burnley)

“Their frenzied side emerges on the bonkers but excellent ‘Pina Colada’“ - The Razors Edge (Star & Garter, Manchester)
